Our Exciting Life 🤣

So today’s excitement at the Taylor house is that we got a new stove after not having a working one since the weekend!

See, we had this one burner on our stove that would go out sometimes, but I could usually move it around a little and convince it to come back on. But last week when my father-in-law was visiting, he started to cook us breakfast (yes, he’s awesome like that!) and couldn’t get any of the burners to turn on. So we figured out the breaker had been tripped, and I went into the laundry room to turn it on, and shortly thereafter heard shouting, “Turn it off!!” 😄

It seems that the obstinate burner was now shooting flames! So we took the element out, and thankfully he was able to cook breakfast! We decided it would be safest to turn the breaker off after using the stove.

Saturday night, we had some friends over and I was cooking supper when that burner (actually, the element was removed) began shooting flames again! Turned off the breaker for good until we could get our new stove delivered today!

So for suppers this week, I was cooking food in my instant pot (which I LOVE), but then happened to see a picture circulating on Facebook about instant pots catching on fire! What?! By this point, I started wondering if I would have to resort to cooking outside over an open fire! 😆

Thankfully, our safe, new stove is installed and ready to go! First up: cookies for my sister’s baby sprinkle on Saturday! 😊

How scary!! But hilarious all at the same time! Glad y’all got a new stove!

    What’s a baby sprinkle?

    • Rebekah Ward Taylor says:

Like a baby shower, except not as big, because it’s typically for a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th 😄) child. Since she doesn’t need big items, we’ll be giving her those necessities you need with each child, like diapers and wipes, etc.

So glad you got a new stove! Electric ‘Roman candles’ not good! 😉😄
