Have you ever heard of the term “Golden Hour?” It’s definitely a term that photographers use! Simply put, it refers to the first hour of sunlight in the morning and the last hour of sunlight in the evening.
I am a BIG fan of taking pictures during Golden Hour because of the perfect lighting it provides. Throughout the day, the brightness and harshness of the sun can cause very harsh shadows, which just do not look very flattering in pictures.
Most of my photo sessions are scheduled around the evening Golden Hour, as there aren’t whole lot of people that are willing to have a photo shoot at 5:30 am! (But that’s actually ok with me, because getting up extremely early isn’t my favorite thing, either! Haha!)
Next time you schedule a photo session, make sure you can have it during this magical time! It is SO worth it!
