What’s everyone doing this weekend? Looks like my weekend will include editing, making homemade lasagnas, more editing, and I probably need to do some of that weekly house cleaning as well. 😊
Elliana’s grandparents bought her a framed carrier (one of the backpack ones that you wear when hiking), so I guess we should probably take her out for a hike if the weather is good!
Soon after Nick and I started talking, I learned that hiking is one of his favorite activities. He was very sad to hear that it’s possibly one of my least favorite things to do! 😂 I did go hiking with him a few times that winter/spring, though. He kept telling me stories of kayaking all day, then camping on a gravel bar at night….now I enjoy kayaking, but I had only ever camped once, and it was in a friend’s field, and it was NOT a great experience! 😄
So anyway, we get married and go to Gatlinburg for our honeymoon. I was looking forward to going to all the attractions, and Nick wanted to go hiking. This is the first week of August, in Tennessee. 🤣 (For those of you that don’t live in the area, it’s the hottest time of year, and it was SO humid!) We did go hiking one or two days, but it was miserable! Come to think of it, we probably should have gotten married at a different time of year!
Someday soon, I’ll have to tell the story of the first time we went camping! 😄
